I wonder if you dream?
If you DO know?
What you will become?
Dreaming of your future life buzzing around in the air
As you sleep cocooned deep deep down in the frozen ground
Do you struggle?
Do you fight the change?
Do you know?
Or do you slumber peacefully in your transforming frozen sleep?
You will have wings you know
And fly drunkenly on balmy summer nights at sunset
In crowds like hooligans buzzing
Vibrant throbbing in the air
All too brief to know the joys of life
And then gone!
Just as swiftly as you appeared
Your children will appear for their time in the sun too
But years on
Years later now
Enjoy life!
Shine bright!
And buzz loudly!
Maybe we’re not so different you and I
We both dream of a different life
With wings
But are waiting
Hoping?
Struggling?
Fighting?
Enjoy life!
Shine bright!
And buzz loudly!
